Pricing & Checkout

The only thing sold through this portal is school fees, payable to Mishri Devi Charitable Trust by the parents or guardians of students enrolled at West Academy Sr. Sec. School. There is no product catalogue, no subscription, and nothing that can be bought by a member of the public.

What is charged

Fees are fixed by the School for each class, for each academic session (April to March), and are notified to parents at the start of the session. Depending on the class and on what the student has opted for, a bill may include:

  • Tuition fee — the monthly charge, billed monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually according to the instalment plan on record for the student.
  • Annual, admission and registration charges — one-time or once-a-year charges, billed with the first instalment of the session.
  • Examination fee — where applicable to the class.
  • Computer, science and other subject charges — where applicable to the class.
  • Transport fee — only for students using the school bus, at the rate for their bus stop, billed for the months in which the bus is used.
  • Late fee and cheque-return charge — only if incurred, at the rates notified by the School.

Concessions approved by the School — sibling, staff, merit or hardship — are applied to the bill automatically and are visible on the fee screen.

Where you see the amount

Because every amount depends on the individual student's class, instalment plan, bus stop and concessions, prices are not published as a general list. The exact amount for your child is shown to you, itemised head by head, on the Feesscreen after you sign in — and again on the payment screen before you commit to anything. Nothing is charged until you complete the payment on the gateway's page. The School's full fee schedule for a class is available from the school office on request; see Contact Us.

Taxes and charges

Fees charged by a school for education are exempt from GST, so no tax is added at checkout. The School adds no convenience fee, gateway charge or surcharge to an online payment — you pay exactly the amount shown. Any charge levied by your own bank or card issuer is a matter between you and them.

The checkout flow, step by step

  • 1. Sign in with the login the School issued for your child and open Fees. You see the amount billed under each head, what has been paid, and the balance outstanding.
  • 2. Tap Pay. The portal recalculates the outstanding balance on the server at that moment — the figure you are asked to pay is never taken from the browser. Online payment is for the full outstanding balance; to pay a part, visit the school office.
  • 3. Confirm on the payment screen, which shows the amount and the order reference.
  • 4. Pay on the gateway. You are handed over to the hosted page of Cashfree Payments, where you choose UPI, card, net banking or wallet and complete the payment. Your card, UPI or bank credentials are entered there — the School and Edquark never see them.
  • 5. Return and receipt. The gateway sends you back to the portal and separately notifies it. The portal independently re-checks the payment's status and amount directly with the gateway before accepting it, then issues a numbered fee receipt and reduces your balance. The receipt can be viewed and printed from Receipts.

If a payment does not go through

A failed or abandoned payment issues no receipt and leaves your balance unchanged — you can simply try again. If money was debited but no receipt appeared, wait a short while and check the Receipts screen: pending orders are re-checked automatically with the gateway and settled if the gateway confirms them. If a receipt still does not appear, follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Other ways to pay

Online payment is a convenience, not the only route. Fees can always be paid at the school office by cash, cheque or bank transfer, and a receipt is issued there in the same way.
